I’ve always been intrigued and inspired by power dressing, I mean it’s amazing what a good pair of tailored pants or a fitted suit jacket can do to enhance or change a certain style or look. Power dressing is in reality dressing more like men but how do you stay true to your own style? Stay true to being a women? The answer – make it your own! Mix and match different styles and trends with the power dressing essentials including tailored pants, suit jacket, business shirt etc.
However, think of women like Anna Wintour! She is an absolute goddess within the power dressing world because she makes it her own! Many of you I am sure are familiar with her signature look – a pretty, feminine floral dress with the slick bob and of course those infamous black sunnies! Does she need to dress like a man to feel and be successful? I think not! Its really all about what you put on to make you feel powerful as well as feeling comfortable within your own skin – for me this is my true powerhouse outfit.
I decided I wanted to twist power dressing into something strong, feminine, sophisticated and classic while adding a regal, military touch.

Tropical, bright shades are always the go for perfect Summer style.
This colour combination of bright and black is definitely a great way to have a mix of two diverse styles.
These eye shades are my absolute summer essentials, especially for my colour eyes which are hazel/green. So if any of you have the same you should have a palette with these colours because they complement and really make green eyes pop.
Maybelline eyeliner (my favourite)
My own rings
MAC velvet teddy lipstick

Summer is here and I am so ready! I must admit that summer is definitely my favourite season. Summer to me mean beach, sunnies, hats, shorts, cotton dresses and overall comfortable fashions. I can get up throw on a beach dress and a pair of sunnies and be ready to go in 10 minutes (well almost).
This outfit is a classic, cool, chic, comfortable summer look that is so easy to find in the stores. Ruffled tops are everywhere at the moment as a result of it being recently used within many designers collections (Dion Lee, Balmain, Gucci, Ellery, Christopher Kane).
Hope this gives a bit of Summer outfit inspo!

The trip = humidity, colours, lovely people, tourists, swimming, flowers, yummy food, beaches, seafood, snorkelling, rainbow fish, shopping, bike rides, new flavours, monkeys, squirrels, birds, fish, hinduism, yoga, massage, fish spas, tanned skin, crazy roads and an overall incredible experience!

This look I created on Jemima is very much a look that can be worn in the day or at night. I used darker purples on the outside of the eye and blended it into more of a light gold on the inside of the eye. The cooler brown eye suits darker purple tones as I have used, blues and browns, these complement and intensify this particular eye colour. For the eye liner I used quite a thin line with a slight flick and brought it round under the eye. Be careful with liner and you have to know what works for your eye shape. In order to keep the eye open and not darken it too much I stopped the line halfway underneath the eye but I could have made it shorter.
Vicky’s cool blue eyes look beautiful with this colour combination of peachy pinks, greys in the outer corner and light golds. Cool blue eyes generally suit orange/bronzy shades, silvers and light to dark blues. I used a similar eye liner to Jemima’s however Vicky’s was slightly thicker, the liner really allowed her eyes to pop and stand out. I always always always use a white pencil on the inner corners of the eye, this creates the illusion of bigger eyes, its a fab technique to use.
Hope this gives you some inspiration to try some new looks out!

Sydney’s city was buzzing last night! Everyone and I mean EVERYONE came out to enjoy Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. It is such an awesome event enabling all of Sydney’s fashionistas to join together and have some fun sharing each others passions of fashion, beauty and of course shopping!
I was lucky enough to go the the JTone launch party hosted by Vogue and David Jones. I think one word I would use to describe it was pink. Very pink. There were thousands of pink balloons, an ice cream counter, a fairy floss machine, DJ, nail bar, hair braiding bar and lots of scummy food. It was the ultimate girls slumber party with a few topless waiters, roller blading chicks, dancers and cocktails thrown in. A few special guests also joined in the celebrations, Aussie model Montana Cox, Alli Simpson and model/blogger Sjana Elise! It was a fabulous event!
Every corner I turned there were faced I recognised including bloggers, designers, presenters and the Vogue team, excitement! All the photos were taken by me so I hope you enjoy them!

Oh Jen, you’ve done it again! I absolutely love every single one of Jennifer Lawrence’s campaigns for Dior. From the first moment I opened that Vogue magazine to find her face on the glossy magazine page a few years ago, I was immediately captivated by her unique ‘new look’. Her feminine beauty combined with her masculine, striking, individual look has truly taken Dior to a new modern level in this ever evolving, run by technology, media and men. She encompasses everything creative director Raf Simons stands for at Dior; power and strength juxtaposed with sensuality and beauty. This is the new Dior, the new face, the new model. Since Jennifer we have see the rise of this new modern, masculine look. The new ‘it’ girl is no longer just a sex symbol or a pretty face, she is powerful, fresh, different. Sexy through success. Take American born model Binx Walton, I distinctly remember Balmain Paris creative director Oliver Rousteing talking of Binx in an interview upon being asked who was his favourite model at that present time. He replied in his luxurious French accent ‘ Binx Walton, she has the capacity to be feminine, masculine and edgy all at once!’ Jennifer’s success in hollywood also makes her the ultimate role model for women everywhere; strong, independent, successful, influential and beautiful in her own way. She has the world at her fingertips.
These photos are from her most recent campaigns for Dior taken earlier this year. They use a beautiful contrast of colours between the accessories and clothing once again bringing in Raf’s concept of a softness mixed with feminine strength. I think it totally works! Don’t you agree?
I have always been a little scared of the way Simons has brought his own ‘new look’ to Dior trying to pull the brand into the 21st century with a accent of modern eccentricity experimenting with new styles and prints but with campaigns like this I see a vision of a creative genius. Whilst using the design concept of founder Christian Dior he is able to twist this and mould it into his own unique vision. I finally have learnt to trust him with this brand I love so dearly. The campaign represents this evolving idea of the modern, dangerous women who are taking over the world. Modern. Powerful. Independent. Defiant. Gender roles are changing and fashion knows it. I love the photos and everything about Jennifer Lawrence!

With Winter upon us it is even more of an excuse to stay rugged up indoors underneath our cosy, warm blankets, yet with the crisp, cold air and the warm sunshine outside my window I just had to get out of the house and into nature . The Aussie bush and another perfect Sydney day set the scene to get some beautiful shots of these two beautiful people; Mikaela and Reina.
